Nominees can be from any nationality, and must have contributed to the advancement of human rights globally or locally. Nominees should not be currently involved in any activities that contradict the values of human rights, equality, dignity, and justice. Nomination Process: Nominations must be submitted through the official UHRC Human Rights Award 2024 nomination portal or as specified by UHRC. Nominees can be nominated by any individual, organization, or group. Self-nominations will not be accepted. All nominations must be accompanied by a detailed biography of the nominee, explaining their contributions to human rights and justifying why they should be considered for the award. Nomination Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by 20th Jan 2024. Late or incomplete nominations will not be considered. Criteria for Selection: The nominee's contributions must reflect a strong commitment to the core values of human rights, including but not limited to equality, dignity, justice, and fairness. Nominees should have demonstrated leadership in advocating for human rights and social change. The impact of the nominee’s work on the community or the global human rights movement will be a key factor in selection. The nominee’s work should align with UHRC’s mission and values. Award Categories: The UHRC Human Rights Award 2024 will recognize individuals in the following categories: Lifetime Achievement in human rights advocacy Emerging Leader in human rights Advocacy for Equality and Justice Other categories as decided by the UHRC Committee. Judging Panel: All nominations will be reviewed and evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges appointed by the Unified Human Rights Council. The judging panel’s decision is final, and no appeals will be entertained. Award Presentation: The UHRC Human Rights Award 2024 will be presented at an official ceremony hosted by the Unified Human Rights Council. Date, time, and location of the award ceremony will be communicated to the finalists and the public. Award Benefits: Recipients of the UHRC Human Rights Award 2024 will receive a trophy, certificate, and public recognition at the award ceremony. Additional benefits or opportunities may be offered at the discretion of UHRC. The Unified Human Rights Council reserves the right to disqualify any nominee at any stage if it is deemed appropriate.
